Team Lead- Stabilization
PROGRAM: Lethbridge Wellness Shelter & Stabilization Unit (LWS-SU)
FTE: 1 Fulltime Temporary
REPORTING TO: Stabilization Coordinator and Clinician
Summary of Work:
Under the direction of the Stabilization Coordinator and Clinician, the Team Lead is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Stabilization Unit team as well as ensuring that Stabilization Clients are safe, respected, feel welcomed, and call the right emergency personnel when required. The Team Lead may be a Wellness Monitor or Health care Aid (HCA) that agrees to additional responsibility, and is also responsible for providing support to the interdisciplinary team where needed and upholds respectful and culturally-safe services in a safe and supportive environment, when providing programming and care as required.
Professional & Personal Qualifications:
- Must have First Aid training.
- Must have Naloxone/Narcan training.
- Must have NVCI (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention) Certification.
- Must be mature, pleasant, and exercise a high degree of initiative and judgment.
- Education as a Health Care Aide (asset) or in Addiction and Mental Health, or other related Health Sciences is an asset.
- Must have the ability to work collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
- Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Must be able to work evenings, as well as some weekends and holidays.
- Personal experience in recovery from addiction challenge(s), and ability to draw upon wellness and recovery in providing intentional peer support is an asset.
- Must understand and maintain clientele/worker boundaries.
- Must understand the issues surrounding homelessness, unemployment, mental health, drug and alcohol dependence and harm reduction.
- Must have demonstrated ability to supervise, monitor, and support clients.
- Must have the ability to work independently or in a team setting.
- Must have strong ability to manage stress and organize workload.
- Must possess strong physical and mental ability to perform work task and operate job related equipment.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication, organizational skills and the ability to maintain detailed and accurate record.
Salary Range:
- As per Blood Tribe Department of Health Salary Grid
