REPORTS TO: Nurse Manager
SHIFT PATTERN: Monday to Sunday, Shift
REPORTING TO: As per the United Nurses of Alberta Collective Agreement
SUMMARY OF WORK:
Reporting to the Nurse Manager, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to individuals undergoing addiction treatment. Working closely with a multidisciplinary team, you will assess clients’ health needs, develop individualized care plans, and coordinate care delivery to promote optimal outcomes and support long-term recovery.
PROFESSIONAL & PERSONAL QUALITIES:
- Graduation from an accredited registered nursing program and current licence with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Minimum of two years of nursing experience, preferably in addiction treatment, psychiatric/mental health, or behavioral health settings is an asset
- Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to recognize signs and symptoms of substance use disorders, withdrawal syndromes, and co-occurring mental health conditions.
- Compassionate and nonjudgmental approach to caring for individuals with substance abuse disorders.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive situations with compassion and confidentiality
SALARY RANGE:
- In accordance with the United Nurses of Alberta Collective Agreement
