PROGRAM: Harm Reduction Mobile Unit
REPORTS TO: Non-Insured Health Benefits Director (NIHB)
SUMMARY OF WORK:
The Harm Reduction Mobile Health Unit focuses on those at risk that have been affected by the opioid crisis. As a member of a team, the RN is responsible to perform comprehensive assessments, wound interventions, pre and postnatal care to high risk mothers and infants, referral, and evaluation of client care across the continuum of health care services.
The Registered Nurse will provide nursing care by applying nursing practice standards set by the College & Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). The Registered Nurse will also be responsible to contribute to quality collaborative inter professional patient care through advanced clinical practices, consultations, referrals, education and research.
PROFESSIONAL AND PERSONAL QUALITIES
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
- Current registration with College & Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta.
- Computer literacy skills and familiar with CHIP, Net Care, etc.
- Harm Reduction experience required
- Knowledge of Sexually Transmitted Blood Borne Infections
- Minimum of three years’ experience in nursing.
- Class 4 driver’s license.
- CPR certification, First Aid certification TDG certification
SALARY RANGE:
- In accordance with United Nurses of Alberta – Collective Agreement salary grid Local #416.
