REPORTING TO: Program Manager and Support Team Lead

SUMMARY OF WORK:  

Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to individuals undergoing addiction treatment. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the LPN will contribute to the overall well-being and recovery of our clients by administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and providing compassionate support.

PROFESSIONAL & PERSONAL QUALITIES:
  • Graduation from an accredited LPN program and current license with the College for Alberta’s Licensed Practical Nurses (CLHA) as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Previous experience working in addiction treatment or behavioral health settings is preferred but not required.
  • Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to recognize signs and symptoms of substance use disorders, withdrawal syndromes, and co-occurring mental health conditions.
  • Compassionate and nonjudgmental approach to caring for individuals with substance abuse disorders. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive situations with compassion and confidentiality.
SALARY RANGE:
  • Salary Grid as established by BTDH.
