REPORTS TO: Program Manager
SUMMARY OF WORK:
The Healthcare Aide (HCA) provides supportive care to individuals undergoing addiction treatment. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the HCA assists clients with daily living activities, promotes a safe and supportive environment, and contributes to the overall well-being and recovery of clients through compassionate, person-centered care.
PROFESSIONAL AND PERSONAL QUALITIES
- Completion of a recognized Healthcare Aide (HCA) program and registered in Alberta.
- Previous experience working in addiction treatment, community care, or supportive living settings is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Compassionate, respectful, and non-judgmental approach to caring for the residents.
- Ability to recognize changes in client behavior and communicate effectively with team members.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a dynamic environment
- CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain.
SALARY RANGE:
- Salary Grid as established by BTDH.
