PROGRAM: Home Care
REPORTING TO: Health Care Aide SupervisorSUMMARY OF WORK:
Under the Supervision of the Health Care Aide Supervisor, the Medical Drivers are an integral part of the Home Care program and will ensure Clients are transported safely with the highest quality health service. AS well, ensure all vehicles in the Home Care program are operating safely.
PROFESSIONAL & PERSONAL QUALITIES:
- Have current Class 4 Driver’s license and clean drivers abstract.
- Other certifications/competencies as required by the organization:
- Current CPR certification, to be re-certified annually
- First Aid, to be re-certified every three years
- Current Transportation of Dangerous Goods.
- Have necessary communication and interpersonal skills to provide effective interaction.
- Set priorities in the face of multiple demands.
- Have organizational skills
- Have time management skills
- Ability to function independently and effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Apply proper body mechanic principles.
- Able to sit, walk, transfer, life, carry equipment and supplies.
- Assume responsibility to maintain or improve personal health and well-being.
- Able to provide and receive constructive feedback.
SALARY RANGE:
- In accordance with the Blood Tribe Department of Health Inc. Salary Grid.

REPORTING TO: Nurse Manager
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 8:30 – 16:30, 22.5 hours weekly
Salary/Benefits: As per the United Nurses of Alberta Collective AgreementSUMMARY OF WORK:
The Registered Nurse will provide a wide range of nursing services to the client, family, and community for optimal well-being. The Registered Nurse observes, assesses, monitors and documents Client symptoms, reactions and progress. They coordinate and provide nursing care by applying nursing practice standards set by the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) and provides appropriate and safe care to Clients, encourage independence and self-care, and perform other duties as requested.
PROFESSIONAL & PERSONAL QUALITIES:
- Current registration and good standing with College of Registered Nurses of Alberta.
- Other certifications/competencies as required by the registering body and the Organization.
- Current CPR certification, to be re-certified annually.
- Current First Aid certification, to be re-certified every three years.
- Have necessary communication and interpersonal skills to provide effective interaction between all persons, including coworkers.
- Have effective organizational skills.
- Be able and willing to work within a multidisciplinary team environment
- Ability to:
- Function independently and effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Set priorities in the face of multiple demands.
- Assumes responsibility to maintain or improve personal health and well-being.
- Able to provide and receive constructive feedback.
SALARY RANGE:

REPORTS TO: Care Aide Supervisor / Home Care Nurse ManagerSUMMARY OF WORK:
Health Care Aides are valued members of the health-care team and will provide essential and important daily living support and comfort to Clients by:- Encouraging independence and self-care.
- Providing personal assistance and support for the Clients.
- Providing appropriate and safe care to Clients.
The Health Care Aide will report directly to the HCA Supervisor and interacts with Clients, family and employees with a positive and supportive manner.
PROFESSIONAL AND PERSONAL QUALITIES
- Certificate of an approved accredited Health Care Aide program.
- Registration with the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory
- Class 4 Driver’s License and clean Driver’s Abstract
- Other certifications/competencies:
- CPR certificate.
- First Aid certificate.
- Safe Food Handling certificate.
- Related health care experience.
SALARY RANGE:
- In accordance with the Blood Tribe Department of Health Inc. Salary Grid.
