Grand Opening Blood Tribe Iitakamotsiipiohsopi Recovery Community

As the first Indigenous-led recovery community in Alberta to welcome clients, this facility marks a transformative shift to providing Albertans a full continuum of recovery-oriented care woven with Siksikaitsitapi teachings and community-based healing.

Operated by the Blood Tribe Department of Health, the BTIRC provides 75 long-term treatment beds. The BTIRC will offer sustainable recovery services supported by personal growth, cultural connection, and a dedicated team committed to the long-term well-being of our people.
The program includes a ribbon cutting ceremony, lunch, and facility tours. We look forward to sharing this historic day with you as we open the doors to a new chapter of hope for Blood Tribe members and Albertans.
