Blood Tribe Emergency Services Wildfire Mitigation Field Work
JUNE 8 – AUGUST 28, 2026
Blood Tribe Emergency Services will continue the Wildfire Mitigation Program this summer to reduce vegetation and fuels in fire-prone community areas.
In partnership with BTEST, students have been employed to complete field work around critical infrastructure throughout the community.
Field work will include cutting grass/brush, laying gravel, & moving flammable items such as propane tanks, firewood and other materials away from buildings and structures.
This project aims to slow fire spread, mitigate wildfire risk, and reduce future impacts from potential wildfires.
