REPORTING TO: Program Supervisor
SUMMARY OF WORK:
The Program Lead provides day-to-day leadership, coordination, and support for the Recovery Community Program. Working under the direction of the Program Manager, the Program Lead helps ensure programs are delivered effectively, staff and volunteers are supported, and participants receive compassionate, recovery-oriented services. The role acts as a bridge between frontline staff and management, promoting a safe, inclusive, and person-centered recovery environment.
PROFESSIONAL & PERSONAL QUALITIES:
- Educational Background:
- Diploma or Degree in Human Services, Social Work, Community Support, Addiction Studies, Psychology, or a related field is preferred
- Experience Background:
- Minimum 1 year experience working in Recovery, addictions, mental health, community services, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a leadership, supervisory, or team coordination role.
- Experience working within recovery-oriented or peer support environment will be an asset.
- Strong understanding of recovery principles, addiction, mental health, and community supports.
- Understand the principle of therapeutic communities
- Knowledge of trauma-informed, strength-based, and person-centered approaches.
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong conflict-resolution, de-escalation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong critical thinking skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to receive constructive feedback and put into practice.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic record-keeping systems. Willingness to assist in various tasks and areas around the Recovery Community.
- Adaptability in a dynamic and evolving work environment.
SALARY RANGE:
- In accordance with the Blood Tribe Department of Health Inc. Salary Grid.
