DESCRIPTION:As the first Indigenous-led recovery community in Alberta to welcome clients\, this facility marks a transformative shift to providing Albertans a full continuum of recovery-oriented care woven with Siksikaitsitapi teachings and community-based healing. \nDate: April 17\, 2026 \nTime: 11:00 a.m. \nLocation: SW-17-3-25-W4M (North of Highway 5 – Cardston 1 Ave and West of Bypass – 12Street) \nOperated by the Blood Tribe Department of Health\, the BTIRC provides 75 long-term treatment beds. The BTIRC will offer sustainable recovery services supported by personal growth\, cultural connection\, and a dedicated team committed to the long-term well-being of our people. \nThe program includes a ribbon cutting ceremony\, lunch\, and facility tours. We look forward to sharing this historic day with you as we open the doors to a new chapter of hope for Blood Tribe members and Albertans.
